FiveM communities
FiveM Discord servers are the front door to GTA V roleplay cities. The server is where whitelist applications, character approvals, staff contact and downtime notices live — the game itself has no persistent community layer, so anything that happens between sessions happens on Discord.

About FiveM communities
A FiveM city is two things at once: a game server people connect to, and a community that has to hold together while nobody is connected. Discord is where the second one lives. Whitelist applications get filed there, character backstories get approved there, bans get appealed there, and the announcement that the server is down for a script update reaches people there first.
- How do I find an active FiveM roleplay server?
- Look at how many members are in voice right now rather than the total member count, and check whether anything has been posted in the last week. A city with a large roster and an empty voice channel on a weekend evening is coasting on people who joined once.
- How many members should a good FiveM server have?
- Size matters less than the share of it that is present. A few hundred members with thirty in voice is a working city; ten thousand with thirty in voice is a mailing list. Whitelisted cities are deliberately smaller and usually more active per head.
- What is a whitelist?
- An application you fill in before you can connect — usually a character backstory and some rules questions. It is slower to join and generally produces a more stable community, because everybody there chose to spend twenty minutes getting in.
