Rust communities
Rust Discord servers organise what happens around a wipe: groups forming before it, clans recruiting during it, and server communities announcing schedules. Rust's own in-game communication does not survive a wipe, so the Discord is the only continuity a group has.

About Rust communities
Rust runs on a cycle, and its communities run on the same one. A wipe resets the map and everything on it, so the group that played together last month only still exists because it has somewhere to talk between wipes. That somewhere is Discord.
- When is the best time to join a Rust community?
- Shortly before a wipe, when groups are forming. Joining mid-wipe usually means everybody is already established and you are starting alone.
